Staats Announces Grants for Multiple Senior Centers in District
HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Staats (R-Bucks) today announced two Senior Citizen Centers (SCC) in the 145th District received grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. Those SCCs are the Upper Bucks Senior Activity Center in Quakertown and Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Inc. in Ottsville, with each receiving $2,551 in funding.
“I am thrilled to see two senior centers in my district receive this funding,” said Staats. “Both centers are pillars of the senior community in their respective locations, and this grant money will help fund new programs that will be beneficial to the senior community at large in Upper Bucks.”
The grant is part of the $1 million appropriated for SCC’s to help fund smaller needs and improvements to programs for the recipient. The funding for these grants is appropriated by the General Assembly through proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
