HARRISBURG – Late Monday, the House unanimously approved my legislation to designate a bridge in Sellersville to the many from our community who have served in our nation’s armed forces.
House Bill 1665, which now goes to the Senate for consideration, would designate the bridge that runs over the East Branch Perkiomen Creek on North Main Street in Sellersville Borough as the Sellersville Veterans Memorial Bridge.
“This bridge would serve to remind us all of the hard work and sacrifices made by area residents who have served in our nation’s military,” said Staats. “By designating this bridge in their memory, we would honor their bravery, service and selfless sacrifices on our behalf and for the liberties we enjoy today.”
