HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Staats (R-Bucks) announced that multiple grants have been awarded across the 145th District from the Pennsylvania Department Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnerships Program (CCPP).
Grants have been awarded to the following projects:
• $127,400 for the installation of approximately 10 acres of riparian forest buffers along waterways in the Lower Delaware River Watershed in Milford Township.
• $38,800 for the acquisition of approximately 6.6 acres along Merienstein Road in Nockamixon Township for open space and passive recreation.
• $53,700 for the acquisition of approximately 9.4 acres in Haycock Township for open space and passive recreation.
• $202,500 for the acquisition of approximately 1.2 acres along East Hamilin Ave. and South Hamilton St. in Telford Borough for a new borough park.
“It is always a great day in Upper Bucks County when important projects receive funding,” said Staats. “This funding will protect our waterways, save open space and create a new park for residents in Telford Borough.”
Community Conservation Partnerships Program grants fund:
• Planning, acquisition, and development of public parks
• Recreation areas
• Motorized and non-motorized trails
• River conservation and access
• Conservation of open space
• Community and watershed forestry
Grants also support regional and statewide partnerships that build capacity to better develop and manage resources.
